About Terri

Dog lover, qualified animal carer, and the person your dog gets unreasonably excited to see every morning.

How This All Started

I grew up with dogs. Collies, spaniels, a very opinionated Jack Russell. After fifteen years in office work, I reached a point where I dreaded Monday mornings but lit up every time I came home to wagging tails. In 2016, I decided to make the dogs my actual job.

I completed my Level 3 Certificate in Animal Care, got fully insured, passed my DBS check, and took on my first clients in Shirley. Word spread quickly. Within six months I had a full schedule, and I have not looked back since.

These days I walk dogs across Southampton and parts of Eastleigh. I keep group sizes small, a maximum of four at a time, because I believe every dog deserves individual attention, not just a head count on a lead.

Qualifications & Insurance

Level 3 Animal Care

Covers canine behaviour, first aid, nutrition, and safe handling techniques for dogs of all breeds and temperaments.

Fully Insured

Public liability cover up to five million pounds through Cliverton, a specialist pet business insurer.

DBS Checked

Enhanced criminal record check completed and up to date. I also carry a pet first aid kit on every walk.

My Approach

Every dog is different. Some want flat-out sprints across the Common, others prefer a nose-down sniffy amble through the woods. I pay attention to what each dog enjoys and structure walks accordingly.

For nervous or reactive dogs, I offer solo walks and take things at whatever pace they are comfortable with. I have helped several rescues build confidence over time, and it is honestly one of the most rewarding parts of the job.

I treat your dog exactly how I would want someone to treat mine. That means patience, consistency, plenty of praise, and the odd cheeky treat with your permission.

Want to Book a Meet & Greet?

I always do a free introductory visit before taking on a new dog. It gives me a chance to meet your pet, learn their quirks, and make sure we are a good fit. There is no pressure and no obligation.
